LF were contracted to complete the full site remediation and cut and fill works. This project was met with its own problems in that a material management plan was needed to deal with asbestos fibres, which were discovered scattered across the site following demolition works. Following the remediation and cut / fill works, the project became a traditional residential development site. Numerous retaining walls were required due to a steep sloping site. A sustainable drainage system was adopted to deal with the surface water with roads and driveways constructed using a Bodpave product. LF were responsible for completing each plot up to DPC level inclusive of traditional foundations, sub-structure blockwork, plot drainage and services, beam and block flooring and powerfloated oversites, together with gas membranes to all dwellings.
