Demolition and Groundworks packages for new housing development.
Following demolition of the old St Mary’s High School, we were contracted to complete the full site remediation and cut and fill works. Extensive existing watercourses were required to be re-routed, with new access bridges formed as part of the new housing development. RC retaining walls were constructed to form the new detention basins, installed as part of the future storm water management.
Roads, sewers and mainline services were installed following the earthworks, with the plot foundations commencing thereafter. LF were responsible for completing each plot, including blocks of flats up to DPC level. This consisted of traditional foundations, sub-structure blockwork, plot drainage and services, beam and block flooring and powerfloated oversites. Externals were complete as required inclusive of blockpaved driveways and slabbed patios.
