As it's National Apprentice week we thought we would share the stories of the bright new talent we have in the LF Team. Here are the guys in our Commercial team....

Matt Scott Trainee QS & Jack Heydon Trainee Estimator

Matt believes he may be the oldest apprentice to ever join LF at nearly 40. Since school he has worked on site doing labouring, scaffolding & tarmacing before joining the military as a Commando engineer. More recently he ran his own independent Gym for 10 years before deciding it was time for a new challenge. He really appreciates the opportunity at LF as it gives him the chance to continue his education at University whilst still being able to support his family and he is very grateful that LF took a "punt" on him

After finishing his A-Levels Jack decided that he wanted a career in construction and so started working as a Trainee Site Manager. This reinforced his decision that construction was the area he wanted to develop his career in but felt that his skills would be better suited to the commercial environment. He was delighted to be given the opportunity at LF to train as an Estimator and really enjoys the friendly environment, mentoring and the support.
